Radar Studio is a service by Avertris. It uses public YouTube data through the YouTube API Services (and, only if you connect your channel, its analytics in read-only mode), keeps only the account data needed to provide the service, never sells data, and deletes YouTube API data that has not been refreshed within 30 days.

1. Who is responsible

Radar Studio ("the service") is provided by Avertris ("we", "us"). For any privacy matter write to [email protected].

2. Use of YouTube API Services

Radar Studio uses the YouTube API Services to read public information about YouTube channels and videos. By using Radar Studio you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and data obtained from YouTube is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

3. YouTube data we use

Only public data from the YouTube Data API v3 and public channel feeds: channel name, description, country, thumbnail and subscriber, view and video counts; and video title, publish date, duration, thumbnail and view, like and comment counts. For competitor analysis we also use the text of public top-level comments (without author names or identifiers) and public captions of some videos. If you choose to connect your channel with Google (optional), Radar Studio asks for read-only permissions (youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly, plus yt-analytics-monetary.readonly only if you turn on revenue per video) to read that channel's analytics: views, watch time, retention, traffic sources, search terms, audience, thumbnail impressions and CTR, and estimated revenue. Only you see them, they are used only to give you your channel's analyses, they are never sold or used for advertising, and Radar Studio cannot publish, edit or delete anything on your channel.

4. Your account data

To create your account we store your email, your name (if you give it), your password hashed (never in plain text), your language, your plan and credit balance, and your credit usage history. We also store what you create or upload in the service: your channels, video projects, titles, scripts, characters, mentions and images.

5. How we use data

To provide the service (discovering niches, analyzing your channels' competitors and helping you create titles, thumbnails and scripts), to bill your plan, to tell you about important account matters and to improve the service with aggregated internal statistics. We never sell, rent or share data with third parties, and we don't use it for advertising. The metrics, scores and estimates you see are calculated by Radar Studio and labeled as such: they are not provided by YouTube.

6. Providers that process data for us

7. Retention and deletion

YouTube API data is refreshed regularly, and data not refreshed within 30 days is deleted automatically; view history used for "views per hour" is kept for 7 days. A connected channel's analytics are kept while it stays connected: if you disconnect it in Radar Studio they are deleted at once, and if you revoke access from your Google account they are deleted within 7 days. Account data is kept while you have an account. You can ask us to delete your account and all its content by writing to [email protected]; we will do so within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, invoices).

8. Cookies

We only use necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember your language. No analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or ask us to delete your data by writing to us. You can also review your Google account permissions at the Google security settings page; if you connected your channel, you can revoke Radar Studio's access there at any time (or press "Disconnect" in Radar Studio).

10. Children

Radar Studio is not intended for anyone under 16 and we don't accept accounts from them.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the date above shows the current version and we will tell you about important changes. Contact: [email protected].

12. The browser extension

The «Radar Studio» extension (Chrome and compatible browsers) only runs on youtube.com, studio.youtube.com and radarstudio.cc. It uses your Radar Studio session (the same cookie as the website) to ask Radar for the data it shows. From the YouTube page it reads only what the feature you use needs: the IDs of the videos and channels you see (to show their numbers) and, in YouTube Studio, the title, description and file name of the video you are editing (to find its project and suggest titles, descriptions and thumbnails). That data is sent only to Radar Studio, handled like the rest of your account, and never sold or used for advertising. In your browser it stores only your extension preferences and suggestions already generated, so they are not charged twice. It does not collect your browsing history, passwords or data from other websites, and it never publishes anything on your channel: you save the changes yourself in YouTube Studio.
